Introduction
The hot stamping process uses the principle of hot pressure transfer to transfer the aluminum layer in anodized aluminum to the surface of the substrate to form a special metal effect. The main material used for hot stamping is anodized aluminum foil, so the stamping is also called anodized aluminum hot stamping. Anodized aluminum foil is usually composed of multiple layers of materials, the substrate is usually PE, followed by separation coating, color coating, metal coating (aluminum plating) and glue coating.
In the printing industry, it is common to stamp anodized aluminum foil on paper, which is called bronzing, which is a collective name for a process. Bronzing doesn’t mean that it’s golden. There are many types of bronzing paper materials, including gold, silver, laser gold, laser silver, black, red, green and so on.
Application
1. Ordinary gold and laser gold stamping.
Can be used for most products, including gold, silver, laser and glass cards, and its application is more common.
2. Positioning holographic bronzing.
Holographic laser positioning anodized aluminum is a special process application in design and has corresponding anti-counterfeiting patterns, which can greatly improve the anti-counterfeiting ability of the product, and at the same time improve the grade of the product. This anodized aluminum is generally produced domestically. Compared with foreign imports, the price is cheaper, but the bronzing performance is slightly worse. Holographic laser positioning of anodized aluminum has a great relationship with the control of hot stamping temperature, hot stamping pressure and vehicle speed, even the hot stamping models.
3． Special application of anodized aluminum in the process.
Hot stamping followed by printing is a new idea in cigarette label design and printing industry. The application of this process has high requirements for anodized aluminum. In addition to the requirements of accurate bronzing position, smooth and shiny surface, balanced and uniform pressure, no foaming, no paste, etc., special attention must be paid to the edge of the hot stamping pattern. Marks, hot stamping anodized aluminum should have good adhesion on the stamping surface, and no obvious scratches and scratches. Everyone knows that the bronzing process is actually a process in which the paper is heated and pressed. For white cards and glass cards, special attention should be paid to the protection of semi-finished products. Various disadvantages of paper deformation should be minimized during the production process, which will greatly help the smooth progress of the post-hot stamping process and improve the product qualification rate.
